Our Story
​​The Cook-A-Roux was created by Ken Oesch and Kate Toye, a love for food, family and the enjoyment of life brought about the decision to create a vision that was a couple of years in the making. Ken and Kate's previous adventures include an award winning cafe, "The Smiling Dog" in Grimsby, Ontario where great food, conversation and friendships were created. Together Ken and Kate have over 3 decades of experience in the food industry, creating delicious food items both sweet and savoury and experimenting with vegetarian and vegan foods. Kate has been vegetarian and/or vegan for over 3 decades and as Ken has been cooking for her for over 2 of those decades, their experience with meatless eating is vast and so delicious, you will be wondering why you didn't "go veg" sooner.
